C2E2 to organize Global Workshop to Accelerate Energy Efficiency

September 29, 2015

The Copenhagen Centre on Energy Efficiency (C2E2) is organizing a Global Workshop to Accelerate Energy Efficiency from 9 to 12 November 2015 in Copenhagen, Denmark. As the Energy Efficiency Hub of the Sustainable Energy for All (SE4ALL) initiative, C2E2 is working to meet SE4ALL’s objective of doubling the energy efficiency improvement rate by 2030. This requires action on various fronts including involvement of countries, cities, policy makers, private sector, financial institutions and a variety of other stakeholders.

The Global Workshop is an effort in this direction, and seeks to bring together attendees from international financial institutions, corporations, regional experts, government agencies, country-level experts and practitioners. The Workshop is designed to leverage experiences and strategies, specifically addressing barriers, reducing risks and accelerating energy efficiency opportunities, while also aligning with many of the anticipated EE priorities of COP21.
