The Alliance to Save Energy will hold the 11th annual Energy Efficiency Global Forum (EE Global) – the premier international energy efficiency conference – in Copenhagen May 21-22, 2018. EE Global brings together several hundred energy efficiency leaders from the private, public and non-profit sectors across the world to drive the next generation of progress in improving energy productivity. This year’s event will have a specific focus on how to speed transfer of leading energy efficiency practices to the cities and countries of the developing world, so that uptake is accelerated towards the Sustainable Development Goals.
President of The Alliance to Save Energy, Kateri Callahan, is looking forward to a productive forum in Copenhagen:

Focused on the theme of Energy Efficiency: Innovation, Investment, Impact, EE Global 2018 is organized by the Alliance to Save Energy and the Copenhagen Centre on Energy Efficiency, and supported by the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The conference will be held during the Nordic Clean Energy Week, in conjunction with other events involving developing world energy efficiency and immediately before the annual Clean Energy Ministerial and Mission Innovation meetings, also in Copenhagen.
The Copenhagen Centre on Energy Efficiency is supporting work towards doubling the rate of improvement in energy efficiency by 2030. Mark Lister, Head of the Centre, says about the forum: “As an organization focused on accelerating energy efficiency globally, we are honoured to organize a gathering of global leaders in this field and to accelerate energy efficiency for our developing world partners. Governments, the private sector and civil society have worked together to achieve tremendous energy savings – and we think it’s just the beginning of the progress ahead.”
The work of the Copenhagen Centre on Energy Efficiency is part of the Danish governments’ efforts of promoting sustainable energy nationally and in a global development context.
