Examining Data Management in the Face of Climate Change (Presentation)

Johanna, Kristine and Frederikke, three students from the IT University of Copenhagen, share with us their experience and findings in their collaboration with the C2E2 when carrying out their MSc thesis: “Examining Data Management in the Face of Climate Change”.

Through questionnaires and interviews, they investigated the existence of environmental sustainability in the data management strategy of Danish companies. They identified barriers and opportunities to enhance it in the future, given the increasing large amounts of energy being used to store and process data.

The opinions expressed in this publication are those of the authors. They do not purport to reflect the opinions or views of the UNEP DTU Partnership and the Copenhagen Centre on Energy Efficiency.

We would like to thank Professor Rania Fahim El-Gazzar from University of South-Eastern Norway for her support to this collaboration.
