International Telecommunication Union (ITU)

ITU is an international organization at the very heart of the ICT sector, brokering agreement on technologies, services, and allocation of global resources like radio-frequency spectrum and satellite orbital positions, to create a seamless global communications system that is robust, reliable, and constantly evolving.

ITU work is organized in various areas of action. One of them is Environment and Climate Change, under which they carry out the following activities:

• Helping use digital technologies for monitoring, mitigating and adapting to climate change
• ​Protecting human health and the environment from e-waste​.
• Facilitating digital solutions for energy​ efficiency by driving down emissions and reducing carbon footprint
