Liquid Cooling for Sustainable Digital Infrastructure Development in China (Presentation)

In anticipation of COP26, ITU organized a regional Dialogue on Sustainable Digital Transformation in Asia and the Pacific. The event highlighted the importance of sustainability and energy efficiency in driving digital transformation and meeting the Net-Zero challenge, in line with the targets set in the Paris Agreement and the Sustainable Development Goal.

The event placed a special focus on the sustainable digital transformation progress in the Asia and the Pacific region. It also discussed the role of international standards in guiding the implementation of energy efficient ICT and achieve Net-Zero within the ICT sector as well as other sectors.

The event gathered ICT experts, industry specialists, the academia, representatives from the Asia Pacific region and other relevant stakeholders who identified and discussed the key challenges and opportunities in digital transformation across different city functions.

Session 2: The road to COP26 – Achieving energy efficiency and Net-Zero with in digital technologies

The session will examine the importance of green innovation and energy efficient ICTs and digital technologies in meeting the Net-Zero challenge, accelerate the energy transition, and achieve the climate targets in the Paris Agreement and the Sustainable Development Goals. It will also highlight the role of international standards in guiding the ICT sector to reach net-zero and reducing the environmental impacts of the entire ICT value chain.
