Promoting Strong ISO 50001 Outcomes with Supportive National Infrastructure

This report describes how the ISO 50001 standard is a flexible voluntary standard that can be used to help countries and industries meet climate change mitigation goals. Because global energy consumption represents the largest contributor to greenhouse gas emissions, effective and robust implementation of ISO 50001 has the potential to be a significant driver in efforts to reduce these emissions, according to the authors.
