Giorgos Koukoufikis

Georgios Koukoufikis is a Project Officer at the Joint Research of the European Commission, where he is working on social innovation and the social impacts of energy-related policy. Prior he was involved on energy communities’ research in Greece and was Policy advisor at the European Parliament. He holds a PhD on urban studies by the Gran Sasso Science Institute (L’Aquila, Italy) where he explored the impacts of crisis on urban socioecological transformations.
